অসহায় মানুষ পেল সরকারী টিন ও টাকা

আরিফুল ইসলাম, নাটোর প্রতিনিধি: নাটোরে দেড়শ’ অসহায় মানুষকে বিনামূল্যে প্রদান করা হয়েছে সরকারী টিন ও টাকা।রবিবার (০৫ জুলাই) সংসদ সদস্যের ঐচ্ছিক তহবিল এবং ত্রাণ ও দূর্যোগ ব্যবস্থাপনা মন্ত্রণালয়ের বরাদ্দকৃত মোট সাড়ে নয় লাখ টাকার চেক ও ৬৩ বান্ডিল ঢেউটিন সুবিধাভোগীদের হাতে তুলে দেন নাটোর-২ আসনের (নাটোর সদর ও নলডাঙ্গা) সংসদ সদস্য ও জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক শফিকুল ইসলাম শিমুল।

নাটোর সদর উপজেলা পরিষদ মিলনায়তনে উপজেলা প্রশাসন আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে সংসদ সদস্য শিমুল বলেন, দেশপ্রেমে অনন্য জননেত্রী শেখ হাসিনার মেধা ও মননে সবসময় দেশ ও দেশের মানুষের উপস্থিতি। প্রধানমন্ত্রী সকল শ্রেণী-পেশার মানুষের জীবনযাত্রার মান উন্নয়নে নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছেন। বিশেষ করে অসহায় মানুষের দূর্দশা লাঘবে তিনি অগ্রগামী। তাঁর যোগ্য নেতৃত্বে করোনা সংক্রমণ পরিস্থিতি মোকাবেলা করা সম্ভব হবে এবং দেশ পৌঁছে যাবে বঙ্গবন্ধুর আজন্ম লালিত সুখী সমৃদ্ধ সোনার বাংলার কাংখিত গন্তব্যে।

উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার জাহাঙ্গীর আলম সভাপতিত্বে। অন্যান্যের মধ্যে বক্তব্য রাখেন জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের যুগ্ম সাধারণ সম্পাদক সৈয়দ মোর্ত্তজা আলী বাবলু, জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের দপ্তর সম্পাদক দিলীপ কুমার দাস, উপজেলা পরিষদের ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান আব্দুল্লাহ আল সাকিব বাকী।

অনুষ্ঠানে করোনা ভাইরাস বিজয়ী নাটোর সদরের সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) আবু হাসান তাঁর করোনা ভাইরাস আক্রান্তকালীন সময়ে হোম আইসোলেশনে থাকা দুই সপ্তাহের জীবন যাপনের অভিজ্ঞতা বর্ণনা করে।

অনুষ্ঠানে সংসদ সদস্য শিমুল তাঁর ঐচ্ছিক তহবিলের মোট চার লাখ ৭০ হাজার টাকার চেক উপজেলার ৮৭ জন দুস্থ মানুষের হাতে তুলে দেন। উপজেলার ৬৩ জন অসহায় মানুষকে ত্রাণ ও দূর্যোগ ব্যবস্থাপনা মন্ত্রণালয়ের বরাদ্দকৃত এক বান্ডিল করে ঢেউটিন এবং জনপ্রতি তিন হাজার টাকার চেক প্রদান করা হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে ১০টি ধর্মীয় প্রতিষ্ঠানের অনুকূলে পৌনে তিন লাখ টাকার চেকও হস্তান্তর করেন সংসদ সদস্য শিমুল।

Helpless people got government tin and money

Ariful Islam, Natore Correspondent: One and a half hundred helpless people in Natore have been given free government tin and money. Shafiqul Islam Shimul, Member of Parliament for Natore-2 constituency (Natore Sadar and Naldanga) and District General Secretary of Awami League.

At a function organized by the upazila administration at the Natore Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium, MP Shimul said the country and the people of the country have always been present in the mind and intellect of Sheikh Hasina, a unique leader in patriotism. The Prime Minister is working relentlessly to improve the living standards of people of all classes and professions. He is a pioneer in alleviating the plight of helpless people in particular. Under his able leadership, it will be possible to deal with the Corona infection situation and the country will reach the desired destination of the happy and prosperous golden Bengal nurtured by Bangabandhu's birth.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jahangir Alam presided over the function. Among others, Syed Mortaza Ali Bablu, Joint General Secretary of District Awami League, Dilip Kumar Das, Office Secretary of District Awami League and Abdullah Al Shakib Baki, Vice Chairman of Upazila Parishad spoke.


Abu Hassan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Natore Sadar, who won the corona virus, described his experience of living in home isolation for two weeks while being infected with the corona virus.

On the occasion, MP Shimul handed over a check of Tk 480,000 from his optional fund to 6 distressed people of the upazila. 63 helpless people of the upazila were given a bundle allotted by the Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management and a check of Tk 3,000 per person. MP Shimul also handed over a check of Tk 3.5 lakh in favor of 10 religious institutions.
