নওগাঁয় স্বামীর কাঁচির আঘাতে স্ত্রী নিহত, স্বামী আটক

ন‌ওগাঁ প্রতিনিধি: নওগাঁর নিয়ামতপুরে পারিবারিক কলহের জেরে স্বামীর কাঁচির আঘাতে তুকাজেবা খাতুন (১৭) নামে এক গৃহবধু নিহত হয়েছে। বুধবার সকাল সাড়ে ৬ টার দিকে উপজেলার পারইল ইউনিয়নের ধানশা গ্রামে এ ঘটনা ঘটেছে। ঘটনায় ঘাতক স্বামী সালাউদ্দিন সনিকে (২০) আটক করেছে পুলিশ।

নিহত তুকাজেবা খাতুন ওই গ্রামের আবুল হোসেনের মেয়ে এবং আটক সালাউদ্দিন সনি চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ জেলার নাচোল থানার মুরাদপুর গ্রামের আজিজুল হকের ছেলে।

নিয়ামতপুর থানার ডিউটি অফিসার সহকারী উপ-পরিদর্শক (এএসআই) সিদ্দিক বলেন, গত কয়েকদিন থেকে সালাউদ্দিন ওরফে সনি স্ত্রীকে নিয়ে শ্বশুর বাড়ি উপজেলার পারইল ইউনিয়নের ধানশা গ্রামে অবস্থান করছিলেন। বুধবার সকালে সালাউদ্দিন তার গ্রামের বাড়ি মুরাদপুরে যেতে চাইলে স্ত্রী নিষেধ করে। এতে উভয়ের মধ্যে ক্ষোভের সৃষ্টি হয়। এক পর্যায়ে সালাউদ্দিন কাঁচি দিয়ে স্ত্রী তুকাজেবার গলায় আঘাত করে। স্থানীয়রা ও পরিবারের লোকজন তুকাজেবাকে গুরুত্বর আহত অবস্থায় উদ্ধার করে নিয়ামতপুর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে নেয়া হলে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক তাকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন।

নিয়ামতপুর থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ হুমায়ন কবির ঘটনার সত্যতা স্বীকার করে জানান, নিহতের মৃতদেহ ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। সালাউদ্দিন সনিকে সকাল সাড়ে ৭টার দিকে ধানশা গ্রাম থেকে আটক করে হয়েছে। ঘটনায় মামলা দায়ের করা হয়েছে।

In Naogaon, wife was killed and her husband was arrested

Naogaon Correspondent: A housewife named Tukajeba Khatun (18) was killed by her husband's scissors in a family quarrel at Niamatpur in Naogaon. The incident took place at Dhansha village in Paril union of the upazila around 8:30 am on Wednesday. Police have arrested the killer's husband Salauddin Soni (20) in the incident.

The deceased were identified as Tukajeba Khatun, daughter of Abul Hossain of the village and Salauddin Soni, son of Azizul Haque of Muradpur village under Nachol police station in Chapainawabganj district.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Siddique, duty officer of Niamatpur police station, said Salauddin alias Soni had been staying with his wife at Dhansha village in Paril union of Bari upazila for the past few days. On Wednesday morning, Salauddin's wife forbade him to go to his village home in Muradpur. This caused anger between the two. At one point, Salauddin hit his wife Tukajeba in the neck with scissors.

Locals and family members of Niamatpur Police Station rescued Tukajeba in critical condition and took him to Niamatpur Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Niyamatpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Humayun Kabir confirmed the incident and said the body of the deceased has been recovered for autopsy. Salauddin Soni was arrested from Dhansha village around 8:30 am. A case has been filed in the incident.
