রায়হান আলম, নওগাঁ প্রতিনিধি: খাদ্যমন্ত্রী সাধন চন্দ্র মজুমদার বলেছেন, ইতিমধ্যে সরকারী ভাবে ২লাখ মেট্রিক টন চাল কেনা হয়ে গেছে, তাই চালের দাম বাড়ানোর কোন অবকাশ নেই। সরকারী ভাবে ২ টাকা চালের দাম বাড়ালে কেজি প্রতি ১০ টাকা বৃদ্ধি হবে এটা চিন্তা করার কোন অবকাশ নেই।
তিনি বুধবার দুপুরে জেলা প্রশাসকের সম্মেলন কক্ষে জনপ্রতিনিধি, সরকারী কর্মকর্তা সমন্বয়ে কোভিড-১৯ সংক্রান্ত স্বাস্থ্য ব্যাবস্থাপনা, ত্রান কার্যক্রম পরিচালনার কাজ তত্বাবধায়ন ও আইনশৃংখলা পরিস্থিতি বিষযক মত বিনিময় সভায় ভিডিও কনফারেন্সে এসব কথা বলেন।
এসময় চালকল মালিকদের উদ্দেশ্য মন্ত্রী বলেন, কৃষি প্রণোদনা ও চালের দাম বাড়ানোর যে চিন্তা করছেন এটা কিন্তু গত বছর করেন নাই। গত বছর যখন কেজিতে ৭ থেকে ৮ টাকা লাভ হয়েছে। ভবিষ্যতে আমাদের ব্যবসা করতে হবে। তাই কোন সময় বেশী লাভ কোন সময় কম লাভ হবে।
মন্ত্রী বলেন, যেহেতু বছরের শেষ সময়ে চালের দাম বাড়ে নাই, ভরা মৌসুমের ধান উঠে গেছে তাহলে চালের দাম কেন বাড়বে। যদি মনে করেন যে, এতে আমাদের কভার হবে না, তাহলে বাধ্য হয়ে আমাদেরকে চাল আমদানি করতে হবে। তখন বলতে পারবেন না যে চাল আমদানি করে আমাদের ক্ষতি হয়েছে। সরকার তো বসে থাকবে না। তাই আপনাদেরকে মিথ্যা আশ্বাস দিয়ে ক্ষতি করতে চাই না।
খাদ্য মন্ত্রী সাধন চন্দ্র মজুমদার চালকল মালিকদের বলেন এই দুর্যোগময় সময়ে যে সব মিলাররা সঠিকভাবে গুদামে চাল দিবে তাদের তালিকা গুলো আমরা আলাদা করে রাখবো এবং তাদেরকে পরবর্তীতে মূল্যায়ন বেশি করা হবে। তাই সকল মিলারদের সঠিক সময়ে গুদামে চাল দেওয়ার আহবান জানান।
মন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, করোন ভাইরাসের কারনে যে সকল মানুষ কর্মহীন হয়ে পড়ে তাদের মাঝে সরকার ও নিজ নিজ এলাকার এমপিরা যথেষ্ট পরিমান ত্রান বিতরন করেছেন। সরকারের যথেষ্ট পরিমান ত্রান মজুদ রয়েছে, ত্রানের কোন অভাব নেই। ত্রানের অভাবে এই পর্যন্ত কেউ না খেয়ে থাকে নাই। মন্ত্রী দু:খ প্রকাশ করে বলেন যাদের মাস্ক কেনার সামর্থ রয়েছে তারা কিন্তু মাস্ক ব্যবহার করে না। তাই সকলকে স্বাস্থবিধি মেনে চলে চলার আহবান জানান মন্ত্রী।
