পল্লীবিদ্যুতের লাইনম্যানসহ পাঁচজন আটক ॥ ইয়াবা ও মটরসাইকেল উদ্ধার

রায়হান আলম, নওগাঁ প্রতিনিধি: নওগাঁর রাণীনগর থানাপুলিশ পৃথক পৃথকভাবে অভিযান চালিয়ে পল্লীবিদ্যুতের দু’জন লাইম্যানসহ তিনজনকে আটক করেছে। এসময় তাদের নিকট থেকে আটশত পিস ইয়াবা ও দু’টি মটরসাইকেল উদ্ধার করেছে। এছাড়া তাসের মাধ্যমে জুয়া খেলার সময় দু’জুয়ারুকে আটক করেছে। আটককৃতদের বিরুদ্ধে পৃথক পৃথকভাবে মামলা রুজু করে আদালতে সোর্পদ করা হয়েছে।  

রাণীনগর থানার ওসি মো: জহুরুল হক জানান,উপজেলার কুজাইল বালিকা বিদ্যালয়ের সামনে মাদক কারবারিরা মাদক বেচা-কেনা করছে। এমন গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে মঙ্গলবার রাতে অভিযান চালিয়ে পল্লীবিদ্যুতের দু’জন লাইনম্যানসহ তিনজনকে আটক করা হয়। আটককালে তাদের নিকট থেকে আটশত পিস ইয়াবা এবং বাদক বহনের কাজে ব্যবহৃত দু’টি মটরসাইকেল জব্দ করা হয়। আটককৃতরা হলেন রাজশাহীর চারঘাট উপজেলার মেরামতপুর গ্রামের কাইকাউস আহম্মেদের ছেলে আব্বাছ আলী (৩৮) ও ইয়ানবী আহম্মেদ (৩০) এবং নওগাঁর আত্রাই উপজেলার সাহেবগঞ্জ বাজার এলাকার বছির উদ্দীনের ছেলে তারেক রহমান (২৫)। 

এর মধ্যে তারেক ও আব্বাছ চারঘাট উপজেলায় পল্লীবিদ্যুতের লাইনম্যান হিসেবে কর্মরত। তিনি আরো জানান,তারা পল্লীবিদ্যুতের লাইনম্যান হিসেবে চাকুরীর আড়ালে অধিক অর্থ আয়ের ধান্দায় মাদক ব্যবসা করে আসছে। আকট তিনজনই আন্ত:জেলা মাদক ব্যবসায়ী। 

অপর দিকে একই রাতে উপজেলার গোনা ইউনিয়নের লক্ষীপুর গ্রামে তাসের মাধ্যমে জুয়া খেলার সময় একই গ্রামের মিজানুর রহমান (৩৮) ও সবুজ হোসেন (৩৩) কে আটক করা হয়। আটককৃতদের বিরুদ্ধে পৃথক পৃথকভাবে মামলা রুজু করে আদালতে সোর্পদ করা হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছেন ওসি মো:জহুরুল হক।

Five arrested in Naogaon Yaba and motorcycle recovered

Raihan Alam, Naogaon Correspondent: Naogaon's Raninagar police have conducted separate raids and arrested three people, including two Lyman of Pallividyut. Eight hundred pieces of yaba and two motorcycles were recovered from them. He also arrested two gamblers while playing cards. Detainees have been charged separately and handed over to the court.

Raninagar Police Station OC Md Zahurul Haque said drug dealers were buying and selling drugs in front of Kujail Girls' School in the upazila. On the basis of such secret information, three persons including two linemen of Pallividyut were arrested in a raid on Tuesday night. Eight hundred pieces of yaba and two motorcycles used for carrying musicians were seized from them during the arrest.

The detainees are Abbas Ali, 38, and Yanbi Ahmed, 30, son of Kaikaus Ahmed of Maramatpur village in Charghat upazila of Rajshahi and Tareq Rahman, 25, son of Bachir Uddin of Sahebganj Bazar area in Atrai upazila of Naogaon.



Among them, Tareq and Abbas are working as rural electricity linemen in Charghat upazila. He further said that they have been running drug business in the name of earning more money under the guise of working as a lineman in rural electricity. All three are inter-district drug dealers.On the other hand, Mizanur Rahman (38) and Sabuj Hossain (33) of Laxmipur village of Gona union of the upazila were arrested on the same night while gambling with cards. OC Md Zahurul Haque said that separate cases have been filed against the detainees and they have been handed over to the court.
