বতর্মানে নাগরিকদের করোনা পরীক্ষার নমুনা সংগ্রহ ও করোনায় আক্রান্তদের নিয়মিত খোঁজখবর নেওয়া, এ্যাম্বুলেন্স সেবা প্রদান, খাদ্য সহায়তা ও মৃতদের দাফন কাজে নিয়োজিত আছেন রাসিকের কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীবৃন্দ।’ বৃহস্পতিবার বিকেলে নগর ভবনের সিটি হল সভাকক্ষে আয়োজিত মতবিনিময় সভায় এসব কথা বলেন বক্তারা। মহানগরীর করোনা ভাইরাসজনিত প্রার্দুভাব বৃদ্ধি পাওয়ায় রাজশাহী সিটি কর্পোরেশনের স্বাস্থ্যকর্মীদের সাথে এই মতবিনিময় সভার আয়োজন করা হয়।
সভায় রাসিকের প্যানেল মেয়র-১ ও ১২নং ওয়ার্ড কাউন্সিলর সরিফুল ইসলাম বাবু বলেন, করোনা পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে সরকার নানা উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেছে। ত্রাণ ও আর্থিক সহায়তা প্রদান অব্যাহত রেখেছেন। সরকারের পাশাপাশি রাজশাহী সিটি কর্পোরেশনের মেয়র এএইচএম খায়রুজ্জামান লিটন মহানগরবাসীর সেবায় নিজেকে সবসময় নিজেকে নিয়োজিত রেখেছেন।

স্বাস্থ্যকর্মীদের উদ্দেশে তিনি বলেন, মানুষের বাড়ি বাড়ি নমুনা সংগ্রহ ও আক্রান্তদের পরবর্তীতে সার্বক্ষণিক যোগাযোগ রাখার কাজটি আপনারা করছেন। স্বাস্থ্যসেবার অন্যান্য কাজের পাশাপাশি করোনা পরিস্থিতিতে আপনারা সবসময় কাজ করছেন। আগামীতে এ কাজটি আরও গুরুত্বের সাথে করবেন বলে আশা করছি। মৃত্যুকে ভয় না করে আন্তরিকতার সাথে মানুষের পাশে থাকলে এ পরিস্থিতি আমরা কাটিয়ে উঠতে পারব ইনশাল্লাহ।
সভায় জানানো হয়, করোনা পরীক্ষার নমুনা সংগ্রহে দুইটি পৃথক বুথ স্থাপন করা হচ্ছে। বুথ দুইটি হচ্ছে বিভাগীয় মহিলা ক্রীড়া কমপ্লেক্স ও তালাইমারি আদর্শ উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়। মহিলা কমপ্লেক্সে বুথে ১ থেকে ১৫নং ওয়ার্ড এবং তালাইমারি বুথে ১৬ থেকে ৩০নং ওয়ার্ডের বাসিন্দাদের নমুনা সংগ্রহ করা হবে। যেকোন ব্যক্তি নমুনা সংগ্রহ করতে চাইলে তাকে স্থানীয় ওয়ার্ড অফিসে যোগাযোগ করতে হবে।
