নিয়ামতপুরে স্ত্রীকে হত্যা অভিযোগ, ঘাতক স্বামী গ্রেফতার

শাহজাহান শাজু, নিয়ামতপুর (নওগাঁ) প্রতিনিধিঃ নওগাঁর নিয়ামতপুরে শ্বশুড় বাড়ীতে স্ত্রীকে কাঁচি দিয়ে গলা কেটে হত্যার অভিযোগ উঠেছে।  ঘাতক স্বামীকে গ্রেফতার করে থানা পুলিশ। ঘটনাটি ঘটে উপজলার পাড়ইল ইউনিয়নের ধানসা গ্রামে। 

থানা ও স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, গতকাল বুধবার চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ জেলার নাচোল পৌরসভার মুরাদপুর গ্রামের আজিজুল ইসলামের ছেলে সালাউদ্দিন টুনী (২০) তার স্ত্রী নিয়ামতপুর উপজেলার পাড়ইল ইউনিয়নের ধানসা গ্রামের আবুল কালাম আজাদের কন্যা জেবা খাতুনকে (১৮) কাঁচি দিয়ে গলা কাটে। আহত অবস্থায় জেবাকে নিয়ামতপুর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে নিয়ে আসলে সকাল সাড়ে ৬টার দিকে সে মারা যায়।

নিহত জেবা খাতুনের বাবা আবুল কালাম আজাদ এ প্রতিবেদককে বলেন, আমার মেয়ে জেবার প্রায় এক বছর পূর্বে চাঁপাইনবাবঞ্জ জেলার নাচোল উপজেলার মুরাদপুরের আজিজুল ইসরামের ছেলে সালাউদ্দিন এর সাথে বিয়ে হয়। ভালই চলছিল মেয়ে-জামাই এর সংসার। হঠাৎ গত সোমবার আমার মেয়ে-জামাই আমার বাড়ীতে বেড়াতে আসে।

মঙ্গলবার রাতে সামান্য কথা কাটাকাটিতে জামাই রাতেই বাড়ীতে চলে যেতে চাইলে আমরা বুঝিয়ে রাখি।  মেয়ে-জামাই রাতে একই ঘরে থাকে। আজ বুধবার সকাল ৬টায় আমি ও আমার স্ত্রী বাড়ীর বাইরে গরু ছাগল বের করে বসে ছিলাম। মেয়ে-জামাই বাড়ী চলে যাবে বলে আমি আমার স্ত্রীকে নাস্তা বানানোর জন্য বললে আমার স্ত্রী বাড়ীতে চলে যায়। হঠাৎ মেয়ের চিৎকার শুনে আমরা স্ত্রী ঘরের দরজা খোলা চেষ্টা করে ব্যর্থ হয়। 

দরজার শব্দ পেয়ে আমিও ছুটে যাই। যেয়ে আমিও দরজা খুলতে চেষ্টা করে ব্যর্থ হই। শেষে আমার চাচাতো ভাই এসে লাথি মেরে দরজা ভেঙ্গে ঘরে ঢুকে দেখি ঘাতক জামাই সালাউদ্দিন আমার মেয়ের বুকের উপর উঠে বড় কাঁচি দিয়ে গলা কেটেছে, গালে কপালে কাঁচি দিয়ে আঘাত করেছে। তখন কাঁচি আমার ঘাতক জামাই সালাউদ্দিনের হাতে ছিল। সে উম্মাদের মত বলছে আমি আপনার মেয়েকে মেরে ফেলেছি। আমাকে যা ইচ্ছে করেন। 

আমরা অজ্ঞান অবস্থায় মেয়েকে উদ্ধার করে নিয়ামতপুর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে ভর্তি করলে  সকাল সাড়ে ৭টার দিকে উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সের কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক জেবাকে মৃত ঘোষনা করেন। 

নিয়ামতপুর থানার অফিসার ইন চার্জ হুমায়ন কবির বলেন, আমি সংবাদ পেয়ে ফোর্সকে উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে পাঠিয়ে লাশ উদ্ধার করি এবং হত্যাকারী সালাউদ্দিনকে তার শশুরবাড়ি থেকে গ্রেফতার করি। প্রাথমিক ভাবে ধারণা করা হচ্ছে স্বামী-স্ত্রীর দ্বন্দ্বের কারণে স্বামী সালাউদ্দিন স্ত্রী জেবা খাতুনকে কাঁচি দিয়ে গলা কাটে। লাশ ময়না তদন্তের জন্য মর্গে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে। 

এ ঘটনায় থানায় একটি হত্যা মামলা দায়ের করা হয়েছে। ঘাতক সালাউদ্দিনকে জেল হাজতে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে।

Alleged murder of wife in Niamatpur, killer husband arrested

Shahjahan Shaju, Niamatpur (Naogaon) Correspondent: A woman has been accused of cutting her throat with scissors at her father-in-law's house in Niamatpur, Naogaon. Police arrested the killer's husband. The incident took place at Dhansa village in Paril union of the upazila.

According to police and local sources, Salauddin Tuni, 20, son of Azizul Islam of Muradpur village in Nachol municipality of Chapainawabganj district, cut his throat with scissors on Wednesday. Zeba was rushed to Niamatpur Upazila Health Complex in critical condition and died at around 8:30 am.

Abul Kalam Azad, father of the deceased Zeba Khatun, told this correspondent that my daughter Zeba got married to Salauddin, son of Azizul Isram of Muradpur in Nachol upazila of Chapainawabanj district about a year ago. The daughter-in-law's family was going well. Suddenly last Monday my daughter-in-law came to visit my house.

We explained when the son-in-law wanted to go home at night after a little fight on Tuesday night. The daughter-in-law stays in the same room at night. Today, at 8 am on Wednesday, my wife and I were sitting outside the house taking out the cows and goats. My daughter-in-law left the house so I asked my wife to make breakfast. My wife went home. Suddenly hearing the screams of the girl we wife tried to open the door of the room but failed.

At the sound of the door, I too ran away. I also tried to open the door but failed. At last my cousin came and kicked the door and entered the house and saw the killer son-in-law Salauddin got on my daughter's chest and cut her throat with big scissors, hitting her forehead with scissors. Then the scissors were in the hands of my murderous son-in-law Salauddin. He is saying like a fool that I have killed your daughter. Do whatever you want to me.

When we rescued the girl unconscious and admitted her to Niamatpur Upazila Health Complex, the on-duty doctor of the Upazila Health Complex declared Zeba dead at around 8:30 am.

Niamatpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Humayun Kabir said, "After receiving the news, I sent the force to the Upazila Health Complex and recovered the body and arrested the killer Salauddin from his father-in-law's house." Initially, it is believed that Salauddin cut the throat of his wife Zeba Khatun with scissors due to a husband-wife conflict. The body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy.



A murder case has been filed at the police station in this incident. The killer Salauddin has been sent to jail.
