‘জনযোদ্ধা’ হিসেবে কাজ করার আহ্বান কাদেরের

রাজনীতি ডেস্ক: আসন্ন ঈদে করোনা সংক্রমণের বিস্তার রোধে সকলকে ‘জনযোদ্ধা’ হিসেবে কাজ করার আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন আওয়ামী লীগ সাধারণ সম্পাদক এবং সড়ক পরিবহন ও সেতুমন্ত্রী ওবায়দুল কাদের। বুধবার (৮ জুলাই) সরকারি বাসভবনে নিয়মিত ব্রিফিংয়ে একথা বলেন।

ওবায়দুল কাদের বলেন, ‘করোনার নমুনা পরীক্ষা, সনদ, প্লাজমা ডোনেশনসহ বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে এ সংকটকে ঘিরে এক শ্রেণির অসাধুচক্র প্রতারনার আশ্রয় নিচ্ছে এবং মানুষ ঠকাচ্ছে, সরকার এসকল প্রতারণা ও অনিয়মের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর অবস্থানে রয়েছে। এধরণের প্রতারণা মানুষের অসহায়ত্ব নিয়ে নির্মম বাণিজ্য ছাড়া কিছু নয়।’

তিনি বলেন, ‘কিছু মানুষ সংক্রমণ লুকিয়ে তথ্য গোপন করে চলাফেরা করছেন। আবার কেউ করোনা নেগেটিভ সনদ নিয়ে বিদেশে গিয়ে বিমানবন্দরে পজিটিভ হিসেবে চিহ্নিত হচ্ছে। বিদেশে যাওয়ার তীব্র প্রতিযোগিতা এবং সত্য গোপন রাখায় বিদেশে দেশের ভাবমূর্তি নষ্ট করা হচ্ছে এবং লাখ লাখ প্রবাসীদের অবিশ্বাস আর অনিশ্চয়তার আঁধারে ঠেলে দিচ্ছে।’

সেতুমন্ত্রী বলেন, ‘কারো করোনায় লক্ষণ দেখা দিলে আইসোলেশনে থেকে চিকিৎসা নেওয়ার অনুরোধ জানাচ্ছি।  তথ্য গোপনের সাথে দেশের ইমেজ, লাখ লাখ প্রবাসীর ভাগ্য এবং ভবিষ্যতও অনিশ্চয়তায় আবর্তিত হবে।’

আক্রান্তদের চিকিৎসায় সম্মুখসারিতে থেকে যারা লড়াই চালিয়ে যাচ্ছেন তাদের আবারও অভিনন্দন জানিয়ে ওবায়দুল কাদের বলেন, ‘আপনারা ত্যাগ, মনোবল এবং সংকটে সহমর্মিতার যে নজির স্থাপন করেছেন জাতি তা শ্রদ্ধাবনত চিত্তে স্মরণ করবে। এ সংকটে জাতির প্রয়োজনে দৃঢ় মনোবল নিয়ে  লড়াই চালিয়ে যাওয়ার। শেখ হাসিনা সরকার আপনাদের পাশে রয়েছে।’

ইতিমধ্যে অনেক চিকিৎসক, পুলিশ,সাংবাদিক, নার্স, টেকনেলজিস্ট, মাঠ প্রশাসনের কর্মকর্তা, সেনাসদস্য প্রাণ হারিয়েছেন তাদের আত্নার মাগফিরাত ও শান্তি কামনা করেন পরিবহনমন্ত্রী।

আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতিমণ্ডলীর সদস্য সাবেক মন্ত্রী ও ১৪ দলের মুখপাত্র মোহাম্মদ নাসিমের মৃত্যুতে আবারও তার বিদেহী আত্নার মাগফিরাত কামনা করে ওবায়দুল কাদের বলেন, ‘তার শূন্যতা কখনো পূরণ হবার নয়’।

এসময় আওয়ামী লীগ সাধারণ সম্পাদক ওবায়দুল কাদের দলটির প্রবীণ নেতা উপদেষ্টামন্ডলীর সদস্য ও সাবেক মন্ত্রী আমির হোসেন আমুকে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে কেন্দ্রীয় ১৪ দলের মুখপাত্র ও সমন্বয়ক ঘোষণা করেন।

Many doctors, police, journalists, nurses, technologists, field administration officials and army personnel have already lost their lives. The transport minister wished peace and forgiveness to their souls.

Obaidul Quader once again prayed for the forgiveness of his departed soul on the death of Mohammad Nasim, a former minister and spokesperson of the 14-party Awami League presidium, and said, "His void will never be filled."
