ধান নিয়ে এবার কৃষকদের খুব একটা কষ্ট করতে হয় নাই, ধানের নায্য মূল্যে পেয়েছে কৃষকরা---খাদ্যমন্ত্রী

রায়হান আলম, নওগাঁ প্রতিনিধি: খাদ্যমন্ত্রী সাধন চন্দ্র মজুমদার বলেছেন, খাদ্যে এখন আমরা স্বংয়স্মপূর্ন রয়েছি। কৃষকরা এবার ধানের নায্য মূল্যে পেয়েছে। এবার ধান নিয়ে কৃষকদের খুব একটা কষ্ট করতে হয় নাই বলে মন্তব্য করেছেন মন্ত্রী। তিনি বৃহষ্পতিবার ( ৯ জুলাই) দুপুরে নওগাঁর পোরশা উপজেলার নন এমপিও শিক্ষক ও কর্মচারীদের অনুদানের চেক বিতরন অনুষ্ঠানে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সে যুক্ত হয়ে এসব কথা বলেন। 

এসময় মন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, কৃষকদের একটা মেসেজ দিতে চায়, যদি কেউ ধান আটকিয়ে রেখে মনে করেন যে পরে ধানের দাম আরও বৃদ্ধি পাবে তাহলে ভুল ভাবছেন। পরে আমাকে দুষ দিতে পারবেন না। কারন ধানের দাম এর চেয়ে বেশি আর বাড়বে না।

খাদ্যমন্ত্রী সাধন চন্দ্র মজুমদার বলেন, ধানের দাম যদি অতিরিক্ত বাড়তে থাকে, বাজার যদি অস্থিতিশীল হয়ে যায় এবং যদি কোন চাউল ব্যাবসায়ী সিন্ডিকেট করে চাউলের দাম বাড়াতে চায় তাহলে সরকারের সিধান্ত চাউল আমদানি করবে। তখন ধানের দাম কমে যাবে।

এসময় উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার নাজমুল হামিদ রেজা, উপজেলা পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান শাহ মঞ্জুর মোর্শেদ, উপজেলা মাধ্যমিক অফিসার, স্থানীয় আওয়ামীলীগের নেতৃবৃন্দরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

কর্মচারীর মধ্যে ২ হাজার ৫০০ করে মোট ২৫ হাজার টাকার চেক বিতরন করা হয়।

He made the remarks while addressing a video conference at noon on Thursday (July 9) at a check distribution function for non-MPO teachers and employees of Naogaon's Porsha upazila.

At the same time, the minister further said that he wants to give a message to the farmers that if anyone thinks that the price of paddy will go up further, he is mistaken. Can't blame me later. Because the price of paddy will not increase more than this.

Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder said if the price of paddy continues to rise excessively, if the market becomes unstable and if any rice trader wants to increase the price of rice by syndicating, the government will decide to import rice. Then the price of paddy will go down.


Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nazmul Hamid Reza, Upazila Parishad Chairman Shah Manzur Morshed, Upazila Secondary Officer and local Awami League leaders were present.

A total of 2,500 checks worth Tk 25000 were distributed among the employees.
