মেয়র লিটনের আরেকটি নির্বাচনী প্রতিশ্রুতি বাস্তবায়ন শুরু

প্রেস বিজ্ঞপ্তি: মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার প্রতিশ্রুত রাজশাহী বিসিক শিল্পনগরী-২ প্রকল্পের ভূমি উন্নয়ন কাজের উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছে। শনিবার দুপুর ১২টায় পবা উপজেলার পারিলা ইউনিয়নের কেচুয়াতৈল এলাকায় ৫০ একর ভূমির উন্নয়ন কাজের উদ্বোধন করেন অনুষ্ঠানের প্রধান অতিথি রাজশাহী সিটি কর্পোরেশনের মেয়র এ.এইচ.এম খায়রুজ্জামান লিটন।

উল্লেখ্য, রাজশাহীতে শিল্পায়ন প্রতিষ্ঠা ও বিপুল সংখ্যক মানুষের কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ সৃষ্টির লক্ষ্যে বিসিক শিল্পনগরী-২ স্থাপন মেয়রের খায়রুজ্জামান লিটনের নির্বাচনী একটি প্রতিশ্রুতি ছিল। এই প্রকল্পটির কাজ শুরুর মাধ্যমে মেয়র লিটনের আরেকটি নির্বাচনী প্রতিশ্রুতির বাস্তবায়ন শুরু হলো।

উদ্বোধন শেষে মেয়র খায়রুজ্জামান লিটনের সাংবাদিকদের বলেন, বিসিক শিল্পনগরী-২ রাজশাহীবাসীর জন্য মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার উপহার। প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়ন কাজ শুরু হওয়ায় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করছি। এই প্রকল্পের বাস্তবায়নের ফলে রাজশাহী অ লে শিল্পায়ন বিস্তার লাভ করবে এবং বিপুল সংখ্যক মানুষের কর্মসংস্থান হবে।

উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে বিশেষ অতিথি ছিলেন রাজশাহী-৩ আসনের সংসদ সদস্য মোঃ আয়েন উদ্দিন। তিনি বলেন, মাননীয় মেয়র নির্বাচনের আগে বলেছিলেন তিনি শুধু রাজশাহী সিটি কর্পোরেশন এলাকার নয়, পুরো রাজশাহীর উন্নয়ন করবেন। এরই ধারাবাহিকতায় আজকে বিসিক শিল্পনগরী-২ এর কাজ শুরু হলো।

অনুষ্ঠানে আরো উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিসিক শিল্পনগরী-২ প্রকল্পের পরিচালক প্রকৌশলী মোঃ হায়দার আলী, বিসিক রাজশাহী বিভাগের আ লিক পরিচালক মামুনুর রশিদ, ডিজিএম জাফর বায়জীদসহ বিসিকের অন্যান্য কর্মকর্তাবৃন্দ, পারিলা ইউনিয়ন আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক নবিবর রহমানসহ স্থানীয় আওয়ামী লীগের নেতৃবৃন্দ ও গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তিবর্গ।

বিসিক সূত্র জানিয়েছে, রাজশাহী বিসিক শিল্পনগরী-২ প্রকল্পের ব্যয় ধরা হয়েছে ১৭২ কোটি টাকা। এরমধ্যে ভূমি ও ভূমি উন্নয়ন ব্যয় ১০৫ কোটি টাকা। বাকি ৬৭ কোটি টাকায় শিল্প স্থাপনের সকল অবকাঠামো নির্মাণ, রাস্তা, ড্রেন, কালর্ভাট নির্মাণ, পানি, গ্যাস ও বিদ্যুৎ লাইন সংযোগ, সীমানা প্রাচীর, পাম্প হাউজিং, অফিস, পানি সংরক্ষের জন্য পুকুর ইত্যাদি স্থাপন করা হবে।

প্রকল্পটির মেয়াদ ধরা হয়েছে, জুন ২০২১ পর্যন্ত। বাংলাদেশ ক্ষুদ্র ও কুটির শিল্প কর্পোরেশনের (বিসিক) তত্ত্বাবধানে বাস্তবায়নাধীন এই প্রকল্পটি দেশের শিল্পায়নে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদান রাখবে এবং এর ফলে একটি বিশেষায়িত শিল্প নগরী স্থাপনের মাধ্যমে রাজশাহীর জনগণের দীর্ঘদিনের আকাঙ্খা পূরণ হবে।

AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation, inaugurated the development work of 50 acres of land in Kechuatail area of ​​Parila Union of Paba Upazila at 12 noon on Saturday.

It may be mentioned that the mayor Khairuzzaman Liton had made an election promise to establish BSIC Industrial City-2 with the aim of establishing industrialization in Rajshahi and creating employment opportunities for a large number of people. With the start of work on this project, the implementation of another election promise of Mayor Lytton began.

After the inauguration, Mayor Khairuzzaman Liton told reporters that BSIC Industrial City-2 is a gift from Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the people of Rajshahi. I am grateful to the Prime Minister for starting the implementation of the project. The implementation of this project will expand industrialization in Rajshahi and will provide employment to a large number of people.

Rajshahi-3 MP Md Ain Uddin was the special guest at the inaugural function. He said that before the honorable mayoral election, he had said that he would develop not only the Rajshahi City Corporation area, but the whole of Rajshahi. Following this, the work of BSIC Industrial City-2 started today.

Also present on the occasion were BSCIC Industrial City-2 Project Director Engineer Md Haider Ali, BSCIC Rajshahi Division ALIC Director Mamunur Rashid, DGM Zafar Bayazid and other BSCIC officials, Parila Union Awami League General Secretary Nabibar Rahman and local Awami League leaders and dignitaries.

According to BSIC sources, the cost of Rajshahi BSIC Industrial City-2 project has been estimated at Tk 162 crore. Of this, land and land development expenditure is Tk 105 crore. The remaining Tk 6 crore will be spent on construction of all industrial infrastructure, roads, drains, culverts, water, gas and power line connections, boundary walls, pump housing, offices, ponds for water conservation etc.

The project is scheduled to run until June 2021. The project, which is being implemented under the supervision of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSIC), will make a significant contribution to the country's industrialization and will fulfill the long-standing aspirations of the people of Rajshahi by establishing a specialized industrial city.
