চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জের শিবগঞ্জে ভয়ংকর প্রতারক আসমাউল মহিলা সহযোগী সহ গ্রেফতার

ফয়সাল আজম অপু, বিশেষ প্রতিনিধিঃ চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জের শিবগঞ্জ উপজেলার কানসাট থেকে গত বুধবার রাতে কথিত বাটা গ্রুপের এজিএম আসমাউলকে এক সহযোগি সহ গ্রেফতার করেছে শিবগঞ্জ থানা পুলিশ। গ্রেফতারকৃতদের বিরুদ্ধে শিবগঞ্জ থানায় প্রতারণা মামলা দায়ের করে তাদের জেল হাজতে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে।

উপজেলার বালুচর গ্রামের গ্রাম পুলিশ সমশের আলীর ছেলে আসমাউল নিজেকে কথিত বাটা গ্রুপের রাজশাহী বিভাগীয় এজিএম এবং “দৈনিক গণ তদন্ত” পত্রিকার বিভাগীয় প্রতিনিধি পরিচয় দিয়ে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে এলাকায় বিভিন্ন অপরাধমূলক কর্মকান্ড চালিয়ে আসছিল। বাটা গ্রুপের পক্ষ থেকে ত্রাণ দেওয়ার নাম করে তার মনোনীত প্রতিনিধিদের মাধ্যমে লক্ষ লক্ষ টাকা হাতিয়ে নেয়। 

মাটি আছে ঘর নাই এমন দুস্থদের ঘর করে দেওয়ার নাম করে জন প্রতি দুই হাজার টাকা করে কয়েক লক্ষ টাকা তুলে। চাকুরী দেওয়ার নাম করেও অনেকের কাছ থেকে টাকা হাতিয়ে নেয়। মসজিদের ইমামদের বেতন করে দেওয়ার নাম করেও টাকা হাতিয়ে নিয়ে ভূক্তভোগিদের হয়রান করে আসছে দীর্ঘদিন থেকে। 

আসমাউলের অপরাধমূলক কর্মকান্ড সম্প্রতি পুলিশের নজরে আসে। তথ্য প্রমাণ পেয়ে থানা পুলিশ উপজেলার পুখুরিয়া গ্রাম থেকে আসমাউলের মহিলা সহযোগী ইসমত আরাকে পুলিশ গ্রেফতার করে। তার দেয়া তথ্যমতে পুলিশ প্রতারণামূলক কর্মকান্ডের সাথে জড়িত থাকার অপরাধে ভয়ংকর প্রতারক আসমাউলকে তার নিজ এলাকা থেকে গ্রেফতার করে। এবং তাদের বিরুদ্ধে প্রতারণার মামলা দায়ের করে জেল হাজতে প্রেরণ করে।

এব্যাপারে শিবগঞ্জ থানা অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) শামসুল আলম শাহ জানান, তথ্য প্রমাণের ভিত্তিতে এক মহিলা সহযোগি সহ আসমাউলকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়। প্রতারণা মামলায় তাদের জেল হাজতে পাঠান হয়েছে। মামলার তদন্ত কাজ অব্যাহত থাকবে। তদন্ত শেষে প্রকৃত দোষীদের আইনের আওতায় আনা হবে।

Terrible cheater Asmaul arrested in Shibganj of Chapainawabganj along with his female accomplice

Faisal Azam Apu, Special Correspondent: Shibganj Police arrested AGM Asmaul of the so-called Bata Group along with an accomplice from Kansat in Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj on Wednesday night. A fraud case has been filed against the arrested at Shibganj police station and they have been sent to jail.
Asmaul, son of village police Samsher Ali of Baluchar village of the upazila, had been carrying out various criminal activities in the area for a long time by introducing himself as the Rajshahi divisional AGM of the so-called Bata group and the divisional correspondent of the Daily Gana Investigation. Bata swindled millions of rupees through its nominated representatives in the name of providing relief on behalf of the group.

In the name of making houses for the destitute who have no land, they raise a few lakhs of rupees at the rate of two thousand rupees per person. He took money from many people even in the name of giving jobs. The imams of the mosques have been harassing the victims for a long time in the name of paying their salaries.

Asmaul's criminal activities have recently come to the notice of the police. Police arrested Ismat Ara, a female associate of Asmaul, from Pukhuria village of the upazila after receiving evidence. According to him, the police arrested Asmaul from his own area on the charge of being involved in fraudulent activities. And filed a fraud case against them and sent them to jail.

Shibganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamsul Alam Shah said Asmaul was arrested along with a female accomplice on the basis of evidence. They have been sent to jail in a fraud case. The investigation of the case will continue. At the end of the investigation, the real culprits will be brought under the law.
