রায়হান আলম, নওগাঁ প্রতিনিধি: সীমান্তে বাংলাদেশী নাগরিক কর্তৃক ভারতে অবৈধ অনপ্রবেশ রোধ এবং সীমান্ত হত্যা বন্ধে বিজিবি বিশেষ পদক্ষেপ গ্রহন করেছে। সম্প্রতি নওগাঁ জেলার সাপাহার উপজেলার সীমান্ত দিয়ে বাংলাদেশী নাগরিকরা সীমান্ত আইন লঙ্ঘন করে গবাদিপশু ও মাদক চোরাকারবারের উদ্দেশ্যে ভারতে প্রবেশের প্রবনতা বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে। সীমান্ত দিয়ে অবৈধ অনুপ্রবেশ ও ভারত হতে চোরাচালান রোধে বিজিবি আভিযানিক দায়িত্ব, জনসচেতনতামূলক কর্মকান্ড, টহল তৎপরতা ও গোয়েন্দা নজরদারী জোরদার ব্যবস্থা গ্রহন করছে।
মঙ্গলবার বিকেলে ১৬ বিজিবি নওগাঁ ব্যাটালিয়নে প্রেস ব্রিফিং এ বিজিবি পক্ষ থেকে ১৬ বিজিবির অধিনায়ক লে: কর্নেল আরিফুল ইসলাম এসব তথ্য জানান। তিনি বলেন, বাংলাদেশী নাগরিকের অবৈধ অনুপ্রবেশরোধ কল্পে অত্র ব্যাটালিয়নের দায়িত্বপূর্ণ এলাকার মন্ত্রী/এমপি এবং জেলা প্রশাসকের সাথে অধিনায়ক কর্তৃক সমন্বয় করা হয়েছে এবং একইভাবে বিওপি কমান্ডার কর্তৃক উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তার সাথে আলোচনা করতঃ সংশ্লিষ্ট সকলকে নির্দেশনা প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
চিহ্নিত চোরাকারবারীদের বাড়ীতে বিজিবি সদস্য কর্তৃক আকস্মিক ভাবে খোঁজ নিয়ে বাড়ীতে অবস্থান নিশ্চিত করা হচ্ছে। বিজিবির কঠোর তৎপরতার প্রেক্ষিতে কিছু কিছু চোরাকারবারী পলাতক/ বাড়ী ছাড়া হয়েছে। উক্ত পলাতক চোরাকারবারীদের ব্যাপারে সার্বক্ষনিক ভাবে খোঁজ খবর নেয়া হচ্ছে যাতে তাদেরকে আটক করতঃ আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা যায়। অনাকাঙ্খিত সীমান্ত হত্যার রোধে ভারতীয় সীমান্তরক্ষী বাহিনী বিএসএফ এর সাথে অধিনায়ক পর্যায়ে সৌজন্য সাক্ষাত/পতাকা বৈঠক করা হয়েছে। উক্ত সৌজন্য সাক্ষাত/পতাকা বৈঠকে বিএসএফ কর্তৃক নির্বিচারে বাংলাদেশী নাগরিকদের উপর গুলি চালানোর ব্যাপারে তীব্র নিন্দা ও প্রতিবাদ জানানো হয়। এছাড়াও সীমান্তে চোরাকারবারী/দুস্কৃতিকারী কর্তৃক অপরাধ সংগঠনকালে নিরস্ত্র ব্যক্তির উপর গুলিবর্ষণ না করে উক্ত চোরাকারবারী/দুস্কৃতিকারী আটক করার জন্য বলা হয়েছে ।
একই সাথে ভারতীয় দুস্কৃতিকারী/চোরাবারবারীদের আটক করে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করার জন্য বলা হয়েছে। বাংলাদেশী নাগরিকদের ভারতে অবৈধ অনুপ্রবেশরোধে বিজিবি কর্তৃক সীমান্তে অস্থায়ী পোষ্ট তৈরী করা হয়েছে। তিনি আরও বলেন, সীমান্তে অবৈধ অনুপ্রবেশ নিরুৎসাহিত করতে নওগাঁ ব্যাটালিয়ন কর্তৃক চোরাকারবারীদের আত্মসমর্পনের সুযোগ প্রদান করা হয়। এতে এ পর্যন্ত সর্বমোট ৩২২ জন চোরাকারবারী আত্মসমর্পন করে। উক্ত কার্যক্রম বর্তমানে অব্যাহত রয়েছে।
বর্তমানে সারা বিশ্বে করোনা ভাইরাসে প্রাদূর্ভাবে লক্ষ লক্ষ লোক আক্রান্ত হয়ে মৃত্যুবরণ করছে। বাংলাদেশ একটি জনবহুল এবং উন্নয়নশীল রাষ্ট্র। ইতোমধ্যে বাংলাদেশে কয়েক হাজার লোক করোনা ভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত হয়েছে এবং দিন দিন আক্রান্ত ও মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে। প্রাণঘাতী করোনা ভাইরাসের কারণে সীমান্তবর্তী এলাকায় শত শত লোক কর্মহীন হয়ে পড়েছে। অত্র ব্যাটালিয়ন কর্তৃক ৪ হাজার ৪০০ প্যাকেট ত্রাণ সামগ্রী ইতোমধ্যে সীমান্তবর্তী কর্মহীন, অসহায় ও হতদরিদ্র জনসাধারন এবং নওগাঁ জেলা সদরের আশে পাশের এলাকায় বসবাসরত অসহায় হতদরিদ্রের মাঝে বিতরণ/পৌছে দেয়া হয়েছে। এছাড়াও বিদ্যানন্দ ফাউন্ডেশন কর্তৃক বিজিবির তত্ত্বাবধানে সীমান্ত এলাকায় বসবাসরত দুস্থ, অসহায় এবং হতদরিদ্র পরিবারের মাঝে রিক্সা/ভ্যান, গবাদিপশু ও সেলাই মেশিন বিতরন করার কার্যক্রম পক্রিয়াধীন রয়েছে।
জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের জন্মশতবার্ষিকী তথা মুজিববর্ষ উদযাপন উপলক্ষে নওগাঁ জেলার সীমান্তবর্তী অসহায় ও হতদরিদ্র জনসাধারণের বিকল্প আয়ের উৎস হিসেবে ‘আলোকিত সীমান্ত’ প্রকল্প গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে। এ প্রকল্পের আওতায় হতদরিদ্র জনসাধারণের মধ্য থেকে যথাযথ ব্যক্তিকে স্বাবলম্বী করে গড়ে তোলার লক্ষ্যে কার্যক্রম চলমান রয়েছে।

The BGB is stepping up its missionary responsibility, public awareness activities, patrol activities and intelligence surveillance to prevent illegal entry and smuggling from India across the border.
BGB Commander Lt. Col. Ariful Islam gave this information on behalf of BGB at a press briefing at 18 BGB Naogaon Battalion on Tuesday afternoon. He said the commander has coordinated with the minister / MP and deputy commissioner of the area in charge of the battalion to prevent illegal entry of Bangladeshi nationals and similarly the BOP commander has discussed with the upazila executive officer and instructed all concerned.
The house of the identified smugglers is being searched by BGB members and the location of the house is being confirmed. Due to the strict activities of the BGB, some smugglers have escaped / escaped from their homes. The fugitive smugglers are being investigated on a regular basis so that legal action can be taken against them.
A courtesy meeting / flag meeting has been held with the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the commander level to prevent unwanted border killings.
