রায়হান আলম, নওগাঁ প্রতিনিধিঃ বঙ্গবন্ধুর জন্মশত বার্ষিকী উপলক্ষে ও করোনায় প্রধান মন্ত্রীর শেখ হাসিনার ডাকে সারা দিয়ে দীর্ঘ ৪ মাস যাবত সমাজের অসহায় দুঃস্থ মানুষের ফ্রি চিকিৎসা সেবা ও বিনামূল্যে ঔষধ দিয়ে ব্যতিক্রম ধর্মী দৃষ্টান্ত স্থাপন করছেন, নওগাঁর পৌরসভার সেনাবাহিনীর মেডিকেল কোরের (অবঃ) সেনা সাজেন্ট ডাঃ এমদাদুল হক।
প্রতিদিন তার নিজ অর্থায়নে শহরের আরজী নওগাঁ মহল্লায় নিজ বাড়ীতে শতাধিক রোগীকে এই সেবা দিয়ে যাচ্ছেন। শুক্রবার সকালে এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন, বীরমুক্তিযোদ্ধা হাফিজুর রহমান খান, জেলা ট্রাক পরিবহন মালিক গ্রুপের সভাপতি সালাহ উদ্দীন খান টিপু, বিশিষ্ট সমাজ সেবক মোরশেদ আলম প্রমুখ।
ডাঃ এমদাদুল হক জানান, মুজিব বর্ষ ও করোনায় প্রধান মন্ত্রী ডাকে সাড়া দিয়ে সমাজের অসহায় দুঃস্থ মানুষের পাশে দাড়িয়ে চিকিৎসা সেবা দিয়ে যাচ্ছি। যতদিন করোনা থাকবে ততদিন এই সেবা দিয়ে যাব। তাকে আর্থিক সহযোগিতা করেন, তার পুত্র লন্ডণ প্রবাসী ইঞ্জিনিয়ার আলহাজ্ব আবু সায়েম তাপস, মেয়ে ব্যাংক কর্মকর্তা তাপসী রাবেয়া ও স্ত্রী শাহীন এমদাদ। তাকে সহযোগিতা করেন, এলাকার ৩১৩ জনের একটি ভলিনটিয়ার গ্রুপ।
