রায়হান আলম, নওগাঁ প্রতিনিধি: দেশের সীমান্তবর্তী বৃহত্তর জেলা নওগাঁয় প্রায় ৩০ লাখ লোকের বসবাস। রাজশাহী বিভাগের মধ্যে করোনা সংক্রমণে ইতোমধ্যে হটস্পটে পরিণত হয়েছে এই জেলা। প্রতিদিনই এই এখানে বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে করোনায় আক্রান্ত রোগীর সংখ্যা। সচেতন মহলের দাবি জেলায় করোনা পরীক্ষায় পিসিআর ল্যাব না থাকায় দ্রুত শনাক্ত করা যাচ্ছে না রোগী ফলে সংক্রামণের হার দিন দিন আশঙ্কাজনক হারে বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে।
সূত্রে জানা গেছে, নওগাঁয় রয়েছে ২৫০ শয্যা বিশিষ্ট আধুনিক হাসপাতাল আর ১৮ সালে স্থাপন করা হয়েছে নওগাঁ মেডিকেল কলেজ। করোনা ভাইরাসের প্রাদুর্ভাবের পর থেকে আধুনিক সদর হাসপাতালে সম্ভাব্য রোগীদের করোনার নমুনা সংগ্রহ করে প্রথম দিকে রাজশাহী মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হলেও বর্তমানে সপ্তাহে দুই দিন নমুনা সংগ্রহ করে পাঠানো হচ্ছে ঢাকায় ।
এর ফলে রিপোর্ট আসতে সময় লাগছে ১০-১৫ দিন। লক্ষণ বিহীন করোনায় আক্রান্ত রোগী নমুনা দিয়ে মনের অজান্তেই হরহামেশাই ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছে আর নতুন করে সংক্রামিত করছে অন্যান্য ব্যক্তিদের। এদিকে নওগাঁয় প্রতিদিন প্রায় ৭০-৮০জনের নমুনা সংগ্রহ করা হচ্ছে। কোন কোন দিন সংখ্যা এর চেয়েও অনেক বেশি।
এছাড়া বেসরকারি ভাবে নওগাঁর আর কোথাও করোনা পরীক্ষার কেন্দ্র না থাকায় সদর হাসপাতালে এসে দীর্ঘ লাইন ধরে অপেক্ষা করে করোনা ভাইরাসের নমুনা দিতে হচ্ছে। আর ফলাফলের জন্য অপেক্ষা করতে হচ্ছে দিনের পর দিন। জেলার ১১টি উপজেলার পাশাপাশি বগুড়া জেলার আদমদীঘি ও জয়পুরহাটের আক্কেলপুর উপজেলার অধিকাংশ মানুষই চলাচল করে নওগাঁয়।
অন্যদিকে বগুড়া ও রাজশাহীতে করোনা পরীক্ষার কেন্দ্র থাকলেও সেগুলোতে পরীক্ষার অনেক চাপ থাকার কারণে নওগাঁর নমুনা গুলো স্বাস্থ্য বিভাগ ঢাকায় পাঠাতে বাধ্য হচ্ছেন। অথচ নওগাঁয় যদি করোনা পরীক্ষা কেন্দ্র থাকতো তাহলে মানুষ সহজেই করোনায় আক্রান্ত হওয়ার ফলাফল জানতে পারতো আর সঙ্গে সঙ্গেই করোনা আক্রান্ত ব্যক্তিরা প্রতিরোধমূলক জরুরী পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করতো।
এতে করে করোনা সংক্রামণ উল্লেখ্যযোগ্য হারে কমতো। অপরদিকে জেলা প্রশাসন ও স্বাস্থ্য বিভাগ বলেছে নওগাঁয় দ্রুত করোনা পরীক্ষার পিসিআর ল্যাব ও আইসিইউ স্থাপনের জন্য স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরকে লিখিত ভাবে আবেদন করা হয়েছে এবং সার্বক্ষণিক যোগাযোগ রক্ষা করা হচ্ছে। নওগাঁর সামাজিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক সংগঠন একুশে পরিষদের পক্ষ থেকে করোনা সংক্রামণের প্রথম থেকেই নওগাঁয় একটি পিসিআর ল্যাব ও আইসিইউ স্থাপনের জন্য মানব বন্ধন কর্মসুচী, স্মারকলিপি প্রদানসহ নানা কর্মসূচি পালন করে আসছে।
সদর হাসপাতালে নমুনা দিতে আসা অনেক মানুষই জানান করোনা সংক্রামণ কমানোর জন্য পরীক্ষার কোন বিকল্প নেই। কিন্তু হাসপাতালে এসে নমুনা দিয়ে দিনের পর দিন অপেক্ষা করতে হয় ফলাফলের জন্য। যার কারণে এই করোনা ভাইরাস সংক্রামণ দিন দিন বেড়েই চলেছে। তাই নওগাঁয় করোনা পরীক্ষার ল্যাব ও আইসিইউ স্থাপন করা অতি জরুরী।
নওগাঁ সামাজিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক সংগঠন একুশে পরিষদের সভাপতি এ্যাড. ডিএম আব্দুল বারী জানান করোনা সংক্রামণের প্রথম থেকেই আমরা নওগাঁয় একটি পিসিআর ল্যাব ও আইসিইউ স্থাপনের জন্য শান্তিপূর্ন আন্দোলন চালিয়ে আসছি। করোনা নামক এই মরনঘাতি রোগ থেকে নওগাঁর আপামর মানুষকে বাঁচাতে হলে দ্রুত নওগাঁয় পিসিআর ল্যাব ও আইসিইউ স্থাপনের কোন বিকল্প নেই।
নওগাঁর ডেপুটি সিভিল সার্জন ডা: মনজুর-এ-মুর্শেদ জানান, নওগাঁয় পিসিআর ল্যাব ও আইসিইউ স্থাপনের জোর চেস্টা চালানো হচ্ছে তবে করোনা রোগীর জন্য অক্সিজেন খুবই প্রয়োজনীয় বলে স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তর নওগাঁয় কেন্দ্রীয় ভাবে অক্সিজেন সরবরাহ কেন্দ্র স্থাপনের আশ্বাস দিয়েছে। তবুও আমরা স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের সঙ্গে সর্বদা যোগাযোগ রক্ষা করে যাচ্ছি।
নওগাঁ জেলা প্রশাসক মো: হারুন-অর-রশিদ বলেন মাননীয় খাদ্যমন্ত্রীর ডিও লেটারসহ আমরা জেলা প্রশাসনের পক্ষ থেকে করোনা ভাইরাস পরীক্ষার জন্য নওগাঁয় দ্রুত পিসিআর ল্যাব ও আইসিইউ স্থাপনের জন্য লিখিত ভাবে আবদেন করেছি। এছাড়াও এই বিষয়ে আমরা সরকারের উর্দ্ধতন কর্মকর্তাদের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ অব্যাহত রেখেছি।
সরকার দ্রুত নওগাঁয় একটি পিসিআর ল্যাব ও আইসিইউ স্থাপন করে লাখ লাখ মানুষকে করোনা নামক মরনঘাতক ব্যাধির সংক্রামনের হাত থেকে ৩২ লাখ মানুষকে রক্ষা করবেন এমনটিই আশা নওগাঁবাসীর।

According to sources, there is a modern hospital with 250 beds in Naogaon and Naogaon Medical College was established in 18. Since the outbreak of the corona virus, coronary samples have been collected from potential patients at the modern Sadar Hospital and initially sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, but now samples are being collected and sent to Dhaka two days a week.
As a result, it takes 10-15 days for the report to come. Patients with asymptomatic corona are constantly wandering around unknowingly with samples and infecting other people anew. Meanwhile, about 60-70 samples are being collected in Naogaon every day. Some days the number is much higher than that.
Besides, as there is no private corona test center in Naogaon, they have to wait in a long line at the Sadar Hospital to give samples of corona virus. And we have to wait for the results day after day. Besides 11 upazilas of the district, most of the people of Adamdighi of Bogra district and Akkelpur upazila of Joypurhat move to Naogaon.
On the other hand, although there are corona test centers in Bogra and Rajshahi, the health department is being forced to send the samples from Naogaon to Dhaka due to the high pressure of testing in them. However, if there was a corona test center in Naogaon, people could easily know the results of corona infection and people affected by corona would immediately take preventive emergency measures.
By doing this, the corona infection is reduced at a significant rate. On the other hand, the district administration and health department said that a written application has been made to the health department for setting up a PCR lab and ICU for rapid corona examination in Naogaon and all-round communication is being maintained. Ekushey Parishad, a social and cultural organization of Naogaon, has been carrying out various programs including setting up a PCR lab and ICU in Naogaon since the beginning of Corona infection, including issuing memorandums.
Many people who come to Sadar Hospital to take samples say that there is no alternative to testing to reduce corona infection. But after coming to the hospital with samples, we have to wait day after day for the results. Due to which this corona virus infection is increasing day by day. Therefore, it is very important to set up corona test lab and ICU in Naogaon.

DM Abdul Bari said that since the beginning of Corona infection, we have been carrying out a peaceful movement to set up a PCR lab and ICU in Naogaon. There is no alternative to setting up a PCR lab and ICU in Naogaon to save the people of Naogaon from this deadly disease called corona.
Dr. Manzoor-e-Murshed, Deputy Civil Surgeon, Naogaon, said that efforts are being made to set up a PCR lab and ICU in Naogaon, but the Department of Health has assured to set up a central oxygen supply center in Naogaon as oxygen is essential for corona patients. Yet we are always in touch with the Department of Health.
Naogaon Deputy Commissioner Md. Harun-ur-Rashid said that along with the DO letter of the Hon'ble Food Minister, we have applied in writing on behalf of the district administration to set up a PCR lab and ICU in Naogaon for corona virus test. We have also been in touch with senior government officials in this regard.
The people of Naogaon hope that the government will quickly set up a PCR lab and ICU in Naogaon to save 3.2 million people from contracting the deadly disease Corona.
