আমের আড়তে ব্যবসায়ীর মৃত্যু

মনিরুল ইসলাম, সাপাহার(নওগাঁ)প্রতিনিধি: নওগাঁর সাপাহার উপজেলা সদরে আম বাজারে অবস্থিত আমের আড়তে লিয়াকত আলী সিকদার( ৬৫) নামে এক আম ব্যবসায়ীর মৃত্যু হয়েছে। গত ৩০ জুন মঙ্গলবার রাত অনুমানিক ১টার দিকে নাজমুল হকের আমের আড়ৎ ঘরে এ ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে । 

আড়ৎদার নাজমুল হক জানান,গোপালগঞ্জ জেলার মোকসেদপুর থানার চক আমবাড়ী(নয়াকান্দি) গ্রামের বাসিন্দা ও মৃত: ওয়াজেদ আলীর ছেলে আম ব্যবসায়ী লিয়াকত আলী সিকদার গত ২৬জুন সাপাহার আম বাজারের তার আড়ৎ ঘরে আসেন। তিনি প্রতিদিন যথারীতি বাজার থেকে আম কিনে গোপালগঞ্জে তার নির্দিষ্ট ব্যবসা প্রতিষ্ঠানে বিক্রির জন্য প্রেরণ করে আসছিলেন। গত ২৯ জুন তিনি সর্ব শেষ ২০ ক্যারেট আম ক্রয় করেন। ওই দিন রাতে খাওয়া দাওয়ার পর রাত ১২টার দিকে হঠাৎ তার শ্বাসকষ্ট বেড়ে যায়। 

তিনি এ সময় নিজের সাথে থাকা ঔষধ ও ইনহেলার ব্যবহার করেন। এক পর্যায় তার শারীরকি অবস্থার অবনতি দেখে স্থানীয় হাসপাতালে নেয়ার প্রস্তুতি কালে রাত ১ টার দিকে তিনি ওই আড়ৎ ঘরে মৃত্যুবরণ করেন। তিনি দীর্ঘদিন যাবৎ ডায়াবেটিকস ,অ্যাজমা শ্বাসকষ্ট ও হৃদরোগে ভুগছিলেন বলে নিহতের পরিবার সুত্রে জানাগেছে। 

এ রিপোর্ট লেখা পর্যন্ত নিহত আম ব্যবসায়ি লিয়াকত আলীর লাশ ওই আড়ৎ ঘরেই ছিলো । মৃত্যু সংবাদ তাৎক্ষনিক নিহতের পরিবারে জানানো হয়েছে। পরিবারের লোকজন এসে পৌছালেই নিহত আম ব্যবসায়ির লাশ তার নিজ বাড়িতে নিয়ে গিয়ে দাফন কাফন করা হবে বলে জানা গেছে। এ বিষয়ে স্থানীয় থানা পুলিশ অবগত আছে।

Death of a trader in a mango orchard in Sapahar

Monirul Islam, Sapahar (Naogaon) Correspondent: A mango trader named Liaqat Ali Sikder (65) died at a mango market in Sapahar Upazila Sadar of Naogaon. The incident took place at Nazmul Haque's mango warehouse at around 1pm on Tuesday night.

Storekeeper Nazmul Haque said mango trader Liakat Ali Sikder, a resident of Chowk Ambari (Nayakandi) village of Moksedpur police station in Gopalganj district and son of late Wazed Ali, came to his storehouse at Sapahar Mango Bazaar on June 28. He used to buy mangoes from the market as usual and send them to his specific business establishment in Gopalganj for sale. On June 29, he bought the last 20 carat mango. After eating that night, his breathing difficulty suddenly increased around 12 o'clock at night.

He used the medicine and inhaler he had with him at that time. At one stage, seeing the deterioration of his physical condition, he died at the warehouse at around 1 am while preparing to be taken to the local hospital. He had been suffering from diabetes, asthma, shortness of breath and heart disease for a long time, family sources said.

At the time of writing, the body of slain mango trader Liaquat Ali was in the warehouse. News of the death was immediately reported to the family of the deceased. It is learned that the body of the slain mango trader will be taken to his own house and buried as soon as the family members arrive. The local police are aware of this.
