বড়াইগ্রামে বিয়ের দাবীতে প্রেমিকের বাড়িতে প্রবাসী প্রেমিকার অনশন

আরিফুল ইসলাম, নাটোর প্রতিনিধি : নাটোরের বড়াইগ্রামের চৌমুহন গ্রামে বিয়ের বাড়িতে প্রেমিকের বাড়িতে(৪ জুলাই )দু’দিন যাবৎ অনশন ধর্মঘট করছে রুবিয়া আক্তার (২৪) নামে এক তরুণী। রুবিয়া আক্তার কুমিল্লা জেলার লাকসাম উপজেলার সাতবাড়িয়া গ্রামের সিরাজুল ইসলামের মেয়ে। 

তিনি জর্ডান প্রবাসী বলে জানা গেছে। প্রেমিক মোস্তাফিজুর রহমান ফায়জুল (২৪) চৌমুহন গ্রামের সাইফুল ইসলাম সান্টুর ছেলে। সে জগন্নাথ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের তৃতীয় বর্ষের ছাত্র। রুবিয়া আক্তার জানান, জর্ডানে কর্মরত অবস্থায় মোবাইলে ফায়জুলের সঙ্গে তার প্রেমের সম্পর্ক গড়ে উঠে। এক পর্যায়ে বিয়ের জন্য তিনি জর্ডান থেকে দেশে আসেন।

এরপর বিয়ের প্রলোভন দিয়ে ফায়জুল বিভিন্ন স্থানে বেড়াতে নিয়ে গিয়ে তার সঙ্গে দৈহিক সম্পর্ক গড়ে তোলে। পরে বিয়ের জন্য চাপ দিলে ফায়জুল পিছটান দেয়। এক পর্যায়ে ঢাকা থেকে বাড়িতে চলে এসে তার সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ বিচ্ছিন্ন করে দেয়। 

তাই বাধ্য হয়ে প্রেমের স্বীকৃতি পেতে ফায়জুলের বাড়িতে ছুটে এসেছেন বলে তিনি জানান। তবে এখানে আসার পরে ফায়জুলের স্বজনরা তার সঙ্গে দুর্ব্যবহার করেছেন বলে তিনি অভিযোগ করেন। প্রেমিক মোস্তাফিজুর রহমান ফায়জুল বাড়িতে না থাকায় এ ব্যাপারে তার বক্তব্য নেয়া সম্ভব হয়নি। 

এ ব্যাপারে বড়াইগ্রাম থানার ওসি দিলীপ কুমার দাস জানান, এ বিষয়ে আমার কাছে কেউ কোন অভিযোগ করেনি। অভিযোগ পেলে তদন্ত সাপেক্ষে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা হবে।

Expatriate lover goes on hunger strike at boyfriend's house demanding marriage in Baraigram

Ariful Islam, Natore Correspondent: A young woman named Rubia Akhter (24) has been on a two-day hunger strike at her boyfriend's house (July 4) at Chaumuhan village in Baraigram, Natore. Rubia Akter is the daughter of Sirajul Islam of Satbaria village in Laksam upazila of Comilla district.

He is known to be a Jordanian expatriate. Boyfriend Mostafizur Rahman Faizul (24) is the son of Saiful Islam Santu of Chaumuhan village. He is a third year student of Jagannath University. Rubia Akhter said that she fell in love with Faizul on her mobile while working in Jordan. At one point he came to the country from Jordan for marriage.

After that, Faizul took her to different places with the temptation of marriage and had a physical relationship with her. Later, when he was pressured for marriage, Faizul backed away. At one stage he moved home from Dhaka and lost contact with him.

So he was forced to rush to Faizul's house to get recognition for his love, he said. However, he alleged that Faizul's relatives abused him after he came here. Her boyfriend Mostafizur Rahman Faizul could not be reached for comment.


Baraigram Police Station OC Dilip Kumar Das said, "No one has complained to me about this." In case of complaint, necessary action will be taken subject to investigation.
