সে সময় ওই ভাড়াটিয়া শেড ফাউন্ডেশনের বাগমারা উপজেলা সমন্বয়কারী মমতাজ আলী বলেন, কয়েক মাস হলো এই কার্যক্রম আরম্ভ করেছি। পর্যায়ক্রমে প্রতিটি ইউনিয়নে এটি চালু করা হবে। এদিকে চিকিৎসার যত্রাংশ, প্রশিক্ষণ ফি এবং অন্যান্য খচর বাবদ কিছু অর্থ নেয়া হচ্ছে।
ঘটনাটি জানার পরেই বাসার মালিক শাহজাহান আলী অবৈধ কর্মকান্ড বন্ধ করে দু’এক দিনের মধ্যেই বাসা খালি করে দেয়ার কথা বলেন। এ ব্যাপারে শেড ফাউন্ডেশনের উপজেলা সমন্বয়কারী মমতাজ আলীর সাথে তার ব্যবহৃত মোবাইল ফোনে একাধিক বার যোগাযোগের করার চেষ্টা করা হলে তিনি ফোন রিসিভ করেন নি।
এদিকে গনিপুুর ইউনিয়নের চেয়ারম্যান মনিরুজ্জামান রঞ্জু বলেন, শেড ফাউন্ডেশনের বিষয়ে আমি কিছুই জানিনা।
অন্যদিকে উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা অফিসার ডা. গোলাম রাব্বানী জানান, শেড ফাউন্ডেশন নামে কোন স্বাস্থ্যসেবা প্রদানকারী প্রতিষ্ঠান সম্পর্কে আমাকে কোন প্রকার তাদের কর্মকান্ড সম্পর্কে অবহিত করেন নি। ওই ফাউন্ডেশন ব্যাপারে আমি কিছুই জানিনা। কোথায় কিভাবে তারা তাদের কার্যক্রম পরিচালিত করছে সেটা খোঁজ নিয়ে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে প্রয়োজনয়ি ব্যবস্থা নেয়া হবে। সেই সাথে স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের কোন অনুমোদন আছে কিনা সেটাও ক্ষতিয়ে দেখা হবে।
এ প্রসঙ্গে উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার শরিফ আহম্মেদ জানিয়েছেন, শেড ফাউন্ডেশনের বিষয়ে আমাদের কাছে কোন তথ্য নেই। তারা স্বাস্থ্য সেবার মতো একটি জনগুরুত্বপূর্ণ কার্যক্রম গোপনে কিভাবে পরিচালনা করছেন, তা ও খতিয়ে দেখা হবে।
