রায়হান আলম, নওগাঁ প্রতিনিধি: কোরবানির জন্য লালন-পালন করা প্রায় ২ লাখ ৭২ হাজার গবাদি পশু নিয়ে দু:শ্চিন্তায় পড়েছেন নওগাঁর প্রায় ৩১ হাজার খামারিরা। দিন যেতেই ঘনিয়ে আসছে ঈদুল আজহা। মুসলিম র্ধমাম্বলীদের আরেকটি বড় উৎসব এই ঈদুল আজহা মূলত এটি কোরবানীর ঈদ নামেই বেশি পরিচিত আমাদের কাছে। ঈদ যত ঘনিয়ে আসছে পশু খামারিদের দু:চিন্তা ততই বেড়ে চলেছে।
প্রতিবছর রোজার ঈদের পরপরই কোরবানীর জন্য রাজধানীসহ দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানের ব্যবসায়ীরা গবাদি পশু ক্রয় করে নিয়ে যান। তবে এবার চিত্রটা সম্পূর্ণ উল্টো। কোরবানির ঈদ এগিয়ে এলেও করোনার কারণে রাজধানীসহ বিভিন্ন স্থানের ব্যবসায়ীরা এখনও কেউ যোগাযোগ করেনি খামারিদের সাথে। ফলে শুধু কাঙ্খিত দাম নয় বরং লোকশানের শঙ্কায় রয়েছেন খামারিরা।
নওগাঁর বেশ কয়েকটি খামারির সঙ্গে কথা বলে জানা গেছে, মূলত কোরবানীর ঈদকে সামনে রেখে তারা সারা বছর গরু, ছাগল লালন-পালনে লাখ লাখ টাকা বিনিয়োগ করে থাকেন। করোনার কারনে এবার পশু গুলো সঠিক মূল্যে বিক্রি করতে না পারলে বড় ধরনের লোকশানের মুখে পড়বেন। এবার করোনার কারনে কিছুতেই দু:চিন্তা মুক্ত হতে পারছেনা তারা।
জেলা প্রাণি সম্পদ অধিদপ্তরের তথ্য মতে, নওগাঁ জেলায় এবার ২ লাখ ৭২ হাজার ৫৩টি কোরবানীর পশু প্রস্তুত করা হয়েছে। যা প্রতি বছরের ন্যায় জেলার চাহিদা মিটিয়ে ঢাকা, চট্টগ্রাম, পার্শ্ববর্তী রাজশাহীসহ দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানে রপ্তানি করা হয়ে থাকে। এবারও তার ব্যতিক্রম হবেনা বলে আশাবাদী প্রাণি সম্পদ বিভাগ।
নওগাঁর দুবলহাটি গ্রামের খামারি বেনজির আহম্মেদ পলাশ এবারে ২৫টি ষাঁড় গরু প্রস্তুত করেছেন কোরবানীর জন্য। যার বাজার মূল্য ধরা হয়েছে ৮০ হাজার থেকে ১ লাখ টাকা পর্যন্ত। তিনি দীর্ঘ ১৮ বছর ধরে গরু মোটাতাজা করণের খামার করছেন। অন্যান্য বছর রোজার ঈদের পরেই দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানের পাইকাররা তার খামার থেকে গরু নিয়ে যান। কিন্তু এবছর করোনার কারনে তার সাথে যোগাযোগ করেনি কেউ। ফলে কিছুটা শঙ্কাগ্রস্থ হয়ে পড়েছেন তিনি।
একই গ্রামের আরেক খামারি রবিউল ইসলাম বাবুল বলেন, করোনার কারনে মানুষ বিপর্যস্ত হয়ে পড়েছে। করোনার কারনে বাজারে ক্রেতা মিলবে কিনা বা সঠিক দাম পাবে কিনা তা নিয়ে চিন্তিত তিনি।
সদরের মাতাসাগর গ্রামরে খামারি আব্দুল মজিদ এবছর কুরবানীর জন্য লালন-পালন করা ২৭টি গরু নিয়ে হতাশায় ভুগছেন। কুরবানীর হাটে ঠিকমত গরুগুলো নিতে পারবেন কিনা? ক্রেতা মিলবে কিনা বা নায্য মূল্য পাবেন কিনা তা নিয়ে চিন্তিত তিনি। সারা বছর গরু লালন-পালন করতে যে পরিমানে ব্যয় করেছেন তার খরচ টুকু পাবেন কিনা এ নিয়ে চরম হতাশায় রয়েছেন। ফলে শুধু কাঙ্খিত দাম নয় বরং লোকসানের শঙ্কায় রয়েছেন বলে জানান তিনি।
জেলা প্রাণি সম্পদের (ভারপ্রাপ্ত) কর্মকর্তা ডা: মো: হেলাল উদ্দীন খান বলেন, করোনা পরিস্থিতিতে খামারিদের মাঝে কিছুটা হলেও ভিতু সরের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে। তবে খামারিরা যাতে পশু বিক্রয়ের জন্য সঠিক ভাবে পরিবহন করতে পারে, যাতে কেও হয়রানির স্বীকার না হয় এ জন্য আমরা প্রশাসনের সাথে সম্মিলিত চেষ্টা করছি। করোনার জন্য আমারা প্রয়োজনীয় সকল ব্যবস্থা গ্রহন করব। জেলার প্রতিটা পশুর হাটে এবার সমাজিক দুরত্ব বজায় রেখে পশু ক্রয় বিক্রয়ের জন্য আমরা কাজ করে যাচ্ছি।
তবে যেখানে রাস্তা ঘাট, গন পরিবহন ও শপিং মল গুলোতেই মানা হচ্ছেনা স্বাস্থ্যবিধি সেখানে পশুর হাটে কি করে সামাজিক দুরত্ব বজায় থাকবে এমন প্রশ্ন সচেতন মহলের?
এ নিয়ে সামাজিক সংগঠন একুশে পরিষদের সভাপতি এ্যাডঃ ডিএম আবদুল বারী বলেন, কুরবানীর ঈদ উপলক্ষে পশুর হাট নয় বরং সেটি “করোনার হাট” বসবে। যদি পশুর প্রকার ভেদে আলাদা আলাদা ভাবে হাট বসানো হয় এবং মিনিমাম ৬ফিট দুরত্ব বজায় রাখা হয় তাহলে হয়ত কিছুটা স্বস্তি মিলবে। তবে প্রশাসন যদি কড়া নজরদারী না করে আর হাট ইজারাদাররা সচেতন না হয় এবং হাটে যদি স্বাস্থ্য বিধি না মানা হয় তবে করোনা আরো মহামারি আকার ধারন করবে বলে মন্তব্য করেন তিনি।
বৈশ্বিক মহামারি করোনার প্রকোপ কমছেনা কিছুতেই বরং বাংলাদেশে দিন দিন বেড়েই চলেছে করোনার প্রকোপ। করোনার কারনে পশুর হাট বসবে কিনা? হাট বসলেও ক্রেতা মিলবেন কিনা, ক্রেতা মিললেও দাম সঠিক মিলবে কিনা? এমন হাজারো প্রশ্ন নিয়ে চরম শঙ্কা দেখা দিয়েছে খামারিদের মধ্যে। যার ফলে লোকশান আতঙ্কে রয়েছেন খামারিরা।
