কবে ইইউতে প্রবেশের ভিসা পাবে বাংলাদেশ

নিউজ ডেস্ক: বৈশ্বিক মহামারি করোনা পরিস্থিতির কারণে দীর্ঘদিন বন্ধ থাকার পর আগামী ১ জুলাই থেকে সীমান্ত খুলে দিচ্ছে ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়ন (ইইউ)। কিন্তু ২৭ দেশের এই ব্লকে প্রবেশের সুযোগ দিতে যে ৫৪টি দেশের খসড়া তালিকা করা হয়েছে তাতে বাংলাদেশের নাম নেই।

বাংলাদেশের করোনা পরিস্থিতির উন্নতি হলে পরবর্তীতে বাংলাদেশের নাগরিকদের ইইউতে প্রবেশের অনুমতি দেয়া হবে। কিন্তু কবে নাগাদ করোনা পরিস্থিতির উন্নতি হবে সেটা যেহেতু নিশ্চিত নয়, তাই ইইউতে বাংলাদেশের নাগরিকদের প্রবেশও এখন অনিশ্চিত।

শুধু বাংলাদেশই নয়, খসড়া তালিকায় নেই যুক্তরাষ্ট্র, রাশিয়া ও ব্রাজিলের মতো প্রভাবশালী দেশগুলোর নামও। অন্যদিকে করোনা মোকাবিলায় সফল নিউজিল্যান্ড, দক্ষিণ কোরিয়া, ভিয়েতনাম, ভুটানের পাশাপাশি তালিকায় জায়গা করে নিয়েছে ভারত ও চীন।

এ বিষয়ে ইউরো নিউজের একটি সূত্র জানিয়েছে, কোন কোন দেশের নাগরিকদের ওপর ভ্রমণ নিষেধাজ্ঞা আপোপ হবে এ নিয়ে সমঝোতার পৌঁছাতে পারেননি ইইউ কর্মকর্তারা। তবে মহামারি পরিস্থিতি ভালো এমন দেশগুলোর ব্যাপারে একমত হয়ে ওই তালিকাটি তৈরি করা হয়েছে।

আগামী ১ জুলাই থেকেই তালিকাভুক্ত ৫৪ দেশের নাগরিকরা ইউরোপে প্রবেশ করতে পারবেন।

তবে ব্রাজিল, কাতার, যুক্তরাষ্ট্র ও রাশিয়ার নাগরিকরা এখনই ইউরোপে প্রবেশের সুযোগ পাচ্ছে না। ওইসব দেশের করোনা পরিস্থিতির উন্নতি হলে পরবর্তীদের তাদের প্রবেশের অনুমতি দেয়া হবে।

খসড়া তালিকাভুক্ত দেশগুলোর মধ্যে রয়েছে- আলবেনিয়া, আলজেরিয়া, অ্যান্ডোরা, অ্যাঙ্গোলা, অস্টেস্টেলিয়া, ভুটান, বসনিয়া ও হার্জেগোভিনা, কানাডা, চীন, কোস্টারিকা, কিউবা, উত্তর কোরিয়া, ডোমিনিকা, মিশর, ইথিওপিয়া, জর্জিয়অ, গায়ানা, ভারত, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, জ্যামাইকা, জাপান কাজাখস্তান, কসাভো, লেবানন, মরিশাস, মোনাকো, মঙ্গোলিয়া, মন্টিনিগ্রো, মরক্কো, মোজাম্বিক, মায়ানমার, নামিবিয়া, নিউজিল্যান্ড, নিকারাগুয়া, পালাউ, প্যারাগুয়ে, রুয়ান্ডা, সেন্ট লুসিয়া, সার্বিয়া, দক্ষিণ কোরিয়া, তাজিকিস্তান, থাইল্যান্ড, তিউনিশিয়া, তুরস্ক, তুর্কমেনিয়া, উগান্ডা, ইউক্রেন, উরুগুয়ে, উজবেকিস্তান, ভ্যাটিকান সিটি, ভেনেজুয়েলা, জাম্বিয়া ও ভিয়েতনাম।

এ বিষয়ে ইইউ কমিশনের মুখপাত্র এরিক ম্যামার বলেছেন, ‘ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়নে কোন কোন দেশের নাগরিকরা প্রবেশ করা নিরাপদ হবে তা নির্ধারণের জন্য একটি অভ্যন্তরীণ প্রক্রিয়া আছে, যা দেশগুলোর স্বাস্থ্য ব্যবস্থার মানদণ্ডের ওপর নির্ভর করে।’

এর আগে গত ১১ জুন ইইউ কমিশন ইউরোপীয় দেশগুলোর মধ্যে আন্তঃসীমান্ত যোগাযোগ ফের চালুর বিষয়ে সুপারিশ করে। ১ জুলাই থেকে অন্য দেশগুলোর জন্য সীমিত পরিসরে সীমান্ত খুলে দেয়ার কথা সুপারিশে উল্লেখ করা হয়।

When will Bangladesh get visa to enter EU?

If the Corona situation in Bangladesh improves, Bangladeshi citizens will be allowed to enter the EU later. But since it is not certain when the situation will improve, the entry of Bangladeshi citizens into the EU is now uncertain.

Not only Bangladesh, but also influential countries like USA, Russia and Brazil are not in the draft list. On the other hand, India and China, along with New Zealand, South Korea, Vietnam and Bhutan, have succeeded in tackling Corona.

According to a Euronews source, EU officials have not been able to reach an agreement on which countries will be subject to travel bans. However, the list has been made by agreeing on the countries with good epidemic situation.

Citizens of 54 listed countries will be able to enter Europe from July 1.

However, citizens of Brazil, Qatar, the United States and Russia do not currently have access to Europe. If the Corona situation in those countries improves, the latter will be allowed to enter.The countries listed in the draft include Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Angola, Australia, Bhutan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Cuba, North Korea, Dominica, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Guyana, Guyana, India. Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Mauritius, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, New Zealand,Nicaragua, Palau, Paraguay, Rwanda, Saint Lucia, Serbia, South Korea, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Vatican City, Venezuela, Zambia.

"There is an internal process for determining which countries' citizens will be safe to enter the European Union, depending on the country's healthcare standards," said Eric Mammer, a spokesman for the EU Commission.

Earlier on June 11, the EU Commission recommended the resumption of cross-border communication between European countries. The recommendation calls for a limited opening of borders for other countries from July 1.
